CDSBEO Hosts Indigenous Skilled Trades Fair

On Wednesday, November 15, secondary students from across the Board attended the CDSBEO Indigenous Skilled Trades Fair at St. Michael CHS in Kemptville.

Held in partnership with Skills Ontario, the event intends to increase awareness among Indigenous youth of the opportunities available in skilled trades and technology careers.

Students participated in hands-on building activities, gained insight and advice from a panel of speakers from various skilled trades, and attended a career fair session which provided the opportunity to network with local employers who are actively recruiting new workers.
