Continued Success at the OYAP 2024 SKLZ Competition!
The OYAP 2024 SKLZ Competition pressed on with the hammer and nails segment, held at the Carpenters Union 93 facility in Ottawa on March 20th, where students participated in various carpentry events including Team Carpentry, House Building, Individual Carpentry, and Cabinet Making.
Representing the CDSBEO were 45 students from St. Joseph CSS, Holy Trinity CSS, St. John CHS, St. Mary CHS, Notre Dame CHS, St. Luke CHS, and St. Thomas Aquinas CHS.
Award-winning performances included:
House Building: Bronze

Team of 2: Gold
St. John Catholic High School
Maximus Antanovich and Preston Spencer
Team of 2: Silver
Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School
Anthony Wattie and Kaleb Van Den Oetelaar
The prestigious Stephen Rymal Cup was awarded to Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School for embodying the spirit of the SKLZ Competition.
