We are incredibly proud to announce that teachers Blair Fitzsimons and Laura Ferguson, along with their talented students from St. Mary-St. Cecilia Catholic School, have won first place in the Samsung Canada Solve for Tomorrow contest!
Out of numerous submissions from across the country, Samsung Canada recognized five Canadian schools for their bold and innovative solutions to environmental challenges. St. Mary-St. Cecilia was selected for their groundbreaking hydrogen generator project, designed for both residential and commercial use, supporting the transition to sustainable energy sources.
For their outstanding achievement, the school will receive a $50,000 cash prize and the prestigious title of ‘The School for Tomorrow.’ This award will greatly enhance STEM learning in their classrooms and support the continuation of their project.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the St. Mary-St. Cecilia team. Your dedication and innovation are truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the incredible impact you will continue to make!
