The CDSBEO 2025-2030 Multi-Year Strategic Plan
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees approved the new 2025–2030 Multi-Year Strategic Plan at the April 15th board meeting. This new plan is the result of a deeply reflective and inclusive process rooted in the spirit of synodality.
Inspired by Pope Francis’ call to “walk together” and listen with open hearts, the strategic plan was shaped through extensive consultations with students, staff, families, Catholic School Councils, parishes, and community partners. Guided by prayer, discernment, and dialogue, this collective effort has produced a plan that reflects the diverse voices and needs of our school communities.
As Director of Education Laurie Corrigan expressed, “The strategic plan of the CDSBEO for 2025 to 2030 is really about the shared responsibility we have in co-creating the conditions for learning for all.”
A Spirit-Led Vision for Catholic Education
The plan is grounded in the Board’s mission to proclaim our Catholic faith by co-creating the conditions to belong, to believe, to nurture, and to learn as an expression of God’s vision for us all, blessed and beloved.
Drawing from Catholic Social Teaching and the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations, the plan calls on every member of our Catholic school system to participate in building faithful, inclusive, and hope-filled environments where students are empowered to thrive.
Our Four Strategic Priorities

To Belong
We commit to creating supportive school cultures where all students feel welcomed, valued, and connected. This includes strengthening relationships between school, home, parish, and community, offering inclusive extracurricular opportunities, and celebrating student voice and achievement.
To Believe
Faith is central to our Catholic schools. We will continue to deepen students’ and staff’s relationship with Christ through prayer, sacrament, and faith formation. This includes integrating Catholic values across curriculum, increasing understanding of Catholic Social Teaching, and fostering connections with local parishes.
To Nurture
We aim to create healthy learning environments where every person is seen and supported. Access to mental health professionals, tiered supports, outdoor learning, and opportunities for emotional growth are key components. This pillar also ensures responsible alignment of fiscal, human, and capital resources to meet student and staff needs.
To Learn
Through innovative and inclusive teaching practices, we will continue to improve student achievement and well-being. We will enhance literacy and numeracy using evidence-based strategies, embed universal design for learning, and ensure equitable access to technology and digital tools. Our goal is to inspire lifelong learning, critical thinking, and real-world readiness.
This plan is more than a road map, it is a shared commitment to walking together, listening deeply, and responding with faith-filled action. Grounded in our Catholic tradition and focused on the needs of today’s learners, the 2025–2030 Multi-Year Strategic Plan sets a clear direction for the future of Catholic education in Eastern Ontario.
“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” – 1 Samuel 3:9
