Two CDSBEO Schools Renamed

May 3rd, 2023 was a busy day for the CDSBEO, as two schools were officially renamed in honour of the canonization of their namesakes. St. John Paul II Catholic School and St. Mother Teresa Catholic School both hosted ceremonies which welcomed His Grace, Archbishop Marcel Damphousse of the Ottawa-Cornwall Archdiocese, Board Chair Sue Wilson, Director of Education Laurie Corrigan, and school board administration and families, for the renaming and blessing ceremonies.

Principals Laurie Reesor and Chris Oldford led the ceremonies at each school which included a blessing of the school plaques by Archbishop Damphousse, a performance by the school choir, readings by students, and greetings from Board Chair Sue Wilson and Director of Education Laurie Corrigan.

The CDSBEO would like to thank St. John Paul II Catholic School and St. Mother Teresa Catholic School for the warm welcome and touching ceremonies.
