Update to Families – Hold and Secure

Dear Parents/Guardians and Caregivers,

Thank you for your patient support throughout the day. We wanted you to know that in late morning we heard of specific bomb threats against French Catholic school boards in the province. We contacted police in follow up and placed schools in our school board in a Hold and Secure out of an abundance of caution.

Although the schools were placed in Hold and Secure for approximately one hour, the Hold and Secure was lifted and outside doors remained locked. At no point did we receive information of a direct threat to any of our schools, but we wanted to put procedures in place to add additional vigilance and security.

We thank you for your patience and understanding in support of our schools.

We will provide updates to you with any additional information that we may learn.
